ECCO is looking for an ambitious trainee for a Supply Chain career track, to support our Chinese market. This role is part of our prestigious China Scholarship Programme.
As a trainee on a Supply Chain career track on the China Scholarship Programme, you will focus on Mandarin language and Chinese culture in your first year. Thereafter, your role will be to gain a good business understanding and insight into ECCO’s value chain. China is a rapidly developing market, with a growing distributor network, which requires continued focus and development. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with a successful and global player, where you are offered a role in the global business structure with the possibility to add significant value to ECCO’s challenging growth plans.
JOB PROFILE:
Involvement in optimisation of the value chain including improved transparency
Capacity planning and risk control on product level
Cost optimisation across the value chain
Understanding the synergy between Regional Sales and group level Supply Chain
QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Supply Chain or Logistics related Master Degree level
Analytically talented
Understanding of integration and connection in the value chain
You are ambitious and hard-working with an eye for detail
You thrive on challenges; enjoy having many things to do at the same time and working in a dynamic environment, but are quality-oriented and meet deadlines
You can work independently, but also enjoy working in groups and leading the way if necessary
You have a demonstrable interest in Chinese culture and language and the ability to learn
Global mindset and willingness to travel
Good computer skills and knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP)
Basic knowledge of Mandarin would be a distinct advantage, but not essential.
Corporate language is English which you master in speech and in writing.

During your first year in ECCO, you will live in China and participate in intensive Mandarin language education with a reputable University, combined with one to one language coaching and an introduction to Chinese culture. This first year will be combined with work experience in China. During the following 2 years of your trainee programme, you will experience the full ECCO value chain, participating in an introduction to our Global Headquarters in Denmark, Leather Crash Course, exposure to our retail organisation, experience in one of our global production units and various job rotations, including on the job training, around the world, which will support your career development and prepare you for your end position, likely in China, as a valued member of the ECCO team.
