Our Biopharm Patent Department is looking for an experienced patentattorney to support key projects within the biopharmaceuticals area.
Challenges
The Biopharm Patent Department is part of the patent function in NovoNordisk which comprises three patent departments in Denmark, one inIndia and one in USA. We are responsible for securing exclusivity andfreedom of operation for existing and future Novo Nordisk products inthe haematology, growth hormone and inflammation areas. Furthermore, weplay an important role in connection with inlicensing and acquisitionsof new opportunities. As a patent attorney, you will take a leadingrole in formulating and implementing the patent strategies for keyR&D projects. You will also be responsible for handling patentconflicts with our competitors, such as oppositions and other patentdisputes. Finally, you will support the department director indeveloping and maintaining the professional expertise of the department.
Qualifications
You have a relevant scientific background, such as a M.Sc. in biology,pharmacology or biochemistry. Preferably, you have substantial workingexperience in the patent area with a track record of independenthandling of patent matters, and you have passed the European QualifyingExamination or are planning on doing so in the near future. You arefluent in English, both written and spoken. You are a dedicated teamplayer with a good sense of humour, and you are good at establishingrapport and promoting collaboration with key stakeholders in theorganisation.
