The objective of the Danish support to development research is to generate new knowledge capable of alleviating development problems and strengthening research capacity in Danish priority countries.
Grants will be awarded to strategic research cooperation which generates new knowledge relevant to the needs and strategies of priority countries and to Denmark’s development cooperation and contributes to strengthening research capacity in developing countries.
In 2013 the following 3 research themes are prioritized by MFA because of their relevance for development cooperation:
Theme 1: Governance in fragile states and unstable environments
Theme 2: Green economy, inclusive growth and employment
Theme 3: Rights to natural resources
