Direct Category Management (DCM) in Maersk Procurement assists a wide variety of the business units in the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group by managing the commercial relationship with the strategic suppliers to the Group. By working in DCM you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for managing the strategic product categories impacting the Daily Running Cost (DRC) of our vessels and rigs across the globe, and you will achieve business insight into many industries from a category management perspective. Student Assistant As Student Assistant in Category Management you will meet a wide variety of challenges and development opportunities in the global procurement organisation of the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group. Your assignments include analysis of markets/suppliers as well as internal demand and spend and we expect you to produce convincing presentation material to illustrate relevant developments and trends within the procurement area. The position presents the opportunity to link and apply studies with business practice while increasing business knowledge and work experience.

You are currently studying for your Master’s degree (cand.merc). You are an independent and out-going team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills enabling you to work across functions and disciplines. You must be a goal-oriented and driven individual, who thrives on assuming responsibility and achieving results independently and as part of a team. Taking the initiative comes naturally to you and you are used to standing out in a positive way, as you really want to make a difference. Finally you have financial insight and interest and your English skills are excellent, as you will work with international contacts every day.
