Danisco is a world leader in food ingredients, enzymes and bio-based solutions. We design and deliver bio-based ingredients that meet market demand for healthier and safer products. Danisco is in the process of creating a new Supply Chain organization called LOGFI, which will be effective from 1st May 2010, and will focus on handling Food Ingredients supply chain activities at Danisco in an efficient and cost effective way. LOGFI's overall aim is to make Danisco's Supply Chain performance a competitive differentiator vis-Ã -vis competition and support the strategy of "Becoming First Choice". This means providing customers with a better service, by focusing on making the internal workflow simpler and fulfilling the supply chain tasks in a cheaper and faster way. In order to be successful, LOGFI is looking for the right people to fill in key roles within the organization. One of these is the Logistics Sourcing Director.

We are looking for a well established sourcing professional with a proven ability to function at a senior level and a proven track record from previous sourcing initiatives, who will be able to manage the sourcing of freight and warehouse solutions in the most cost effective manner, while securing necessary performance in accordance with the needs of the business. This person will be expected to develop industry leading logistics sourcing processes and key competences. This person will have a leadership role for own sourcing team as well as be responsible for establishing a global sourcing network, consisting of regional and local sourcing employees. The Logistics Sourcing Director will be a member of the LOGFI Management Team, reporting to the LOGFI Vice President. Some of the responsibilities for this role are:

• Set and implement global freight and warehouse strategy aligned with the business requirements
• Introduce professional and global sourcing methodology
• Develop relevant freight and warehouse sourcing policies
• Manage external transport and warehouse spend
• Manage freight sourcing across Danisco
• Ensure professional freight contracts are implemented and communicated to stakeholders and users
• Lead sourcing of external finished goods warehouses
• Capture, review and disseminate freight industry market intelligence and major trends
• Coordinate regional and local sourcing activities
• Document logistics sourcing processes and ensure these are followed

You are experienced from a similar role as a minimum of 5+ years, preferably from a large and international food manufacturing organisation or from the freight industry. You should be able to demonstrate a proven track of strategy implementation and record from previous sourcing initiatives including remarkable achievements, strong project management skills and successful interaction with both project team members and stakeholders. You also must have a profound understanding of the global freight market and capability of transforming market trends into clear actions and guidance to the business. It is a must that you have inter-cultural awareness and that you are able to network. You should be a strong negotiator, have business acumen, and focused on continuous improvement. Furthermore, this person should be able to establish and drive changes in the organization and be a motivator during transitions, while engaging people successfully. You will require personal skills such as drive, enthusiasm and motivation in order to inspire others. It is also important that you are able to communicate at all levels (fluent in verbal and written English) and have uncompromised integrity and work ethics.
