Department

Operating as one of the 14 business units at Vestas Wind Systems, Vestas Offshore A/S focuses exclusively on selling, constructing and operating wind power plants at sea. With offices based in Denmark, the Netherlands, China, North America and the United Kingdom we are responsible for Vestas' involvement of offshore wind power plants worldwide.

Responsibilities and Tasks

We are looking for a Key Account Director to manage two of Vestas'  regional Key Accounts. The successful candidate will proactively manage the overall relationship building process, to establish long-term relationships and customer intimacy at all levels. Understand the strategic direction of the key account and ensure that Vestas' value proposition enables customer strategy realisation.

The main areas of responsibilities cover:
- Coordinate customer interfaces and interactions across functions
- Orchestrate 1:1 marketing and relationship building activities
- Supervise the translation of account strategies into Vestas value proposition
- Drive effective delivery of Vestas value proposition to key account
- Ensure a consistent and shared Vestas-wide `single-customer view´
- Manage account-specific problem solving and issue resolution
- Share best practices across the Vestas KAM community
- Support the field operations in achieving the performance targets
- Set account-specific commercial KPI's and sales performance targets
- Monitor, measure and report Vestas key account performance





Qualifications and Work Experience

The ideal candidate has several years of operations and global account management experience in B2B within the technology, industrial or energy sectors. This also includes experience in managing, expanding and developing relationships with international customers at all levels;

- Strong business acumen, influencing skills and leadership capabilities
- Strong persuasive and negotiating capability
- Experience in delivery of Board level presentations and demonstrations;
- Able to work independently + lead and motivate outside formal structures
- Superior conceptual thinking, analytical and creative problem solving skills
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to deal with multiple priorities and differing points of view in a challenging environment
- Leadership ability and/or previous managerial experience with project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and lead complex, cross-functional    teams.
Cross-cultural understanding from positions in global / International business

Additional Information

You should expect 80 travel days annually. We are flexible on the office location, however, our preference is our Copenhagen office.
