Are you looking for a unique opportunity to be part of shaping a new global procurement organisation, cooperating with Danfoss sites globally and related suppliers for indirect materials? Then you just might be one of our new Regional Category Managers.

Danfoss is strengthening its current purchasing of Indirect Materials (e.g. MRO) by establishing a global organisation with focus on sourcing of categories within Production, Administration & IT, Transportation & Facility.

To reach our ambitious goals we are looking for a Regional Category Purchaser, specialised within the categories located in Denmark.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Your new job will challenge and develop both your project management and procurement skills. Reporting to the Global Category Director you will be procurement responsible for sourcing Danfoss’ category related requirements regionally.

It will be your job to secure an overview of all important projects within the specific category, and share this information and experiences with the team where you will
  • initiate, prioritize and manage cross-division projects with focus on improvement and cost saving activities
  • implement the category strategy together with relevant internal stakeholders and Business Units
  • ensure market knowledge in the categories and report progress and results within the category
  • lead negotiations with suppliers
  • agree on annual Category Plans and ensure commitment from relevant internal stakeholders

Working together with the organisation you will ensure the best results based on specifications and demand within the category. To maximise the value of our global presence you will also participate in benchmarking and tenders by using, for example, e-auction tools and process.

Your background

Ideally, your educational background is within engineering or a Bachelor or Master in economics with good project management skills. We imagine that you have relevant experience in negotiating and developing business relationships with suppliers.

You have a strong business understanding and are able to cooperate with teams across both national and cultural borders. You will find daily challenges for your communication skills, English abilities and strengths in networking and communicating in a global organisation.
