This role will lead multiple Business Operations projects for Lilly China Research & Development Company (LCRDC) and provide skillset targeted support to specific business areas. The role requires the capability to act as an individual contributor, with limited access to cross functional Operations resources. The individual is required to provide general business operations support to drive creative solutions in support of key business initiatives. The position requires the capability to integrate functional and corporate requirements into overall site operations

Responsibilities        Key Objectives & Deliverables:

Provide technical expertise and business support for various types of activities, including: Supply Chain, Facilities Management, Finance, External Relationship Management, etc.
Enabling functional area deliverables through high quality business operations support
Facilitate business related projects with the goal of implementation and monitoring at the functional level.
Based on business needs, provide supervisory support to one or more employees.
Using metrics makes data driven decisions that are theirs to make.
Identify opportunities to enhance systems performance and compliance
Develop and support implementation of key business initiatives
Face externally and act as a liaison between the scientific areas, business team, and external parties
Review, trend and report key performance metrics.
Identify system gaps and drive solutions to address these gaps.
Serve as a consultant to customers on Business Operations issues and provide direct support in meeting business objectives.
Develop and implement procedures.
Conduct partner assessments and develop technical and administrative solutions to improve productivity and overall compliance posture.
Coordinate and participate in corporate compliance audits, regulatory and/or government inspections.  Interact with regulators, auditors and customers during these assessments.
Basic Qualifications        Basic Requirements:

Strong English and Chinese language skills
Strong business acumen

Education Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree, Graduate Degree is preferred.
