请问这句话的意思

Students who return to the programme after a completed leave of absence are not entitled to complete the programme as per the curriculum under which the student studied prior to the commencement of his or her leave of absence.

我的理解是学生如果在休学后回到学校，不能进入他休学前的那个学期。不知道我的理解对不对。

例如学生是在一个2年的master program 里，有4个学期，在他完成第2个学期后，第2个学期是春季学期，然后他决定在第3个学期休学，那等他回到学校了，又是春季那个学期了，他就不能再进入春季那个学期学习，因为春季那个学期只提供第2个和第4个学期的 课程，因为第2个学期他已经修过了就不能而且也没有必要修读了，然后他没读第3个学期，也不能直接进入第4个学期的课程。请问我这样理解对吗
