12/10 System Supporter

Are you ready for a position that combines IT support and project management? If so, you may be the new System Supporter in the Clinical Systems Management department, situated in the Greater Copenhagen Area in Denmark. The department, which consists of 18 employees, is responsible for functional support of our clinical systems. You will join the EDC Support Unit and will be given needed training in the EDC system – an Internet based IT system that collects clinical data.


The Clinical Systems Management department is responsible for ensuring that Novo Nordisk’s global clinical systems support the collection and processing of clinical data. We provide support in the use of the systems and ensure that the systems meet the users’ needs.


Challenges
Your main task will be to optimise the use of EDC. Specifically, you will ensure that our systems and work processes are continuously improved. Further, you will provide day-to-day support to users regarding e.g. functional issues and work processes. When cooperating with the users, you will use your talent for translating complex IT issues into clear descriptions.


Another key task will be to manage small to medium sized operational optimisation projects. In the dialogue with project owners, you will challenge their requirements to the new solution and advice them on the best options. You will use your excellent project management and coordination skills to keep an eye on time lines and stakeholders, just as you make sure that the projects progress as planned and report status to key stakeholders.


Qualifications
As long as you have excellent project management skills and are independent, your educational background matters less. You are either experienced in using IT systems collecting clinical data e.g. EDC, OC or IVRS or you have previously worked with clinical development and are familiar with good clinical practice (GCP).


With your outgoing personality and terrific communication skills, you thrive in an extrovert support function and you are able to think out of the box to find the best solution to a given problem. Last, but not least, you should have a technical mindset and a natural overview enabling you to work on many tasks simultaneously.
