Win a trip to Denmark by participating in the Chr. Hansen essay competition

The Danish bioscience company- Chr. Hansen - has launched an exciting essay competition as a part of their participation in Sino-Danish Network.All undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students are welcome to participate in one of the three competition areas Business, Engineering or Life Sciences. The headline of the competition is “Natural Colors for Food & Beverages – Fast forward into the future”, which holds three different essay topics for the participating students to answer. The winner of the competition will berewarded with a trip to the headquarters of Chr. Hansen in Denmark.


Business Development Director of Natural Colors Division, Per Sommer, says about the background of thecompetition:”Consumers across the world are positively responding to Food & Beverage products with "Natural" claims. For the product manufactures this is important knowledge if they aspire to connect with their local consumers. Trends can be identified on a global level, but consumer preferences are anchored locally. At Chr. Hansen we acknowledge the importance of local insight, and being a part of Sino-Danish Network and presenting this competition is therefore an integrated part of our concept "Fast Forward to the Future”.


Deadline of submitting the 4-page essay isFebruary 20th2012. One winner will be appointed in each of the three areas, who will get the chance to visit one of Chr. Hansen’s sites in China, meet withone or more of the company’s senior managers and receive an elegant Danish design hand watch. The three winners in each area will be eligible to participate in the competition to win a trip to Chr. Hansen’s headquarters in Denmark.
