Research Scientist /novo nordisk

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated research pharmacologist to join the Department of Haemostasis Pharmacology, located in Måløv just outside Copenhagen, Denmark.


Challenges
You will work in project teams where you will have specific responsibilities within the discovery and development of new haemostatic protein therapeutics. You will contribute with your expertise to identify and validate novel targets, and perform subsequent proof-of-concept studies of selected drug candidates in in vivo models of haemostasis and haemophilia.

Haemostasis Pharmacology is focused on state of the art animal models of haemostasis, coagulation and fibrinolysis in order to develop novel protein therapeutics within the haemophilia therapy area.

The department is working in close collaboration with colleagues in Haemostasis Biochemistry and Biology, as well as other departments within the Biopharmaceuticals Research Unit. Our goal is to provide improved treatments and access to care for people with haemophilia in all countries.

Our department currently employs 6 PhDs, 10 technicians and 3 PhD students. We offer an exciting and challenging job, with an opportunity to work together with other highly qualified and motivated scientists in multidisciplinary research teams.


Qualifications
You hold a PhD or equivalent degree and have solid knowledge and experience within pharmacology and in vivo pharmacology (hands on). Furthermore experience with haemostasis and haemophilia or cell biology and biological assays is an advantage. It would be a plus if you are familiar with aetiology of bleeding disorders and have previous experience from pharmaceutical Research & Development.
