Department
Vestas Towers A/S is an independent corporate business unit within Vestas Wind Systems A/S. We are responsible for the global production of wind turbine towers and we have three factories, two located in Denmark and one in Colorado. Furthermore we have production of towers at several sup suppliers around the World. Right now we are looking for a Category Manager to our Global Sourcing & Procurement department, which is a sub department under our Supply Change Management Department. This position is a replacement for an employee that has found new challenges inside Vestas Towers A/S.

Responsibilities and Tasks
As a Category Manager your major responsibility will be to analyse spend and ensure well-run category teams within other Production Business Units (PBU) and ensure close coordination with Category Managers across the other Vestas PBU’s. This results the following responsibilities and tasks:

• Undertake, lead and facilitate supplier negotiations and relationship building both globally and locally to obtain the best value Global and local price negotiation of contracts
• You provide reports and manage information as required for procurement and corporate purposes
• Ensure that purchasing agreements are entered with approved suppliers in accordance with standardised contract templates
• Work cross-functionally to establish, develop and implement sourcing strategies
• Provide and maintain preferred supplier lists, corporate contracts and framework agreements within your area
• Drive continuous improvement activities and monitor supplier market profiles

Qualifications and Work Experience
Preferably you have an education as a BsC in Business, engineer or similar along with 3-5 years of working experience within non product related sourcing. Furthermore you have the following qualifications:

• Excellent at building a full understanding of customer needs and identify and involve stakeholders
• Good at converting knowledge into business value and the value chain
• Strong strategic and analytically thinker
• Good communicator that are capable of working with people at all levels in an organization in a direct and involving way
• International experience in sourcing of consumer goods and services is an advantage but not a must
• Fluent English in both written and spoken

Additional Information
Primary workplace is at Vestas Towers A/S - Varde in Denmark, but approximately 50 international travel days a year must be expected.
