2901 Category Manager - Grundfos Group Purchasing

Grundfos Group Purchasing is on the road to becoming a World Class Purchasing organisation and to strengthen our journey, we require a Category Manager within the area of indirect purchase of materials and services. Job Challenges You will be responsible for categories within the indirect spend area and be working closely together with key stakeholders from our companies and functions with the aim of:

• Running sourcing projects and activities in accordance with the sourcing strategies and our overall sourcing process
• Creating and maintaining supplier agreements
• Sharing knowledge across Grundfos within your areas of responsibility.
• Identifying cost-saving and optimization opportunities.

On top of your main task, you will be involved in projects and activities that Group Purchase carries out in close cooperation with the key stakeholders.

As part of the agreement process with suppliers, you will lead the negotiations. Jointly with key stakeholders, you will be in charge of ensuring implementation and compliance, continuous improvements and regularly follow up meetings.

You will have a wide understanding of the commercial aspects of purchasing and will follow the development of your category – mainly through visiting suppliers, market analyses and visiting relevant fairs.
Your background
You have a commercial or engineering degree, minimum at Bachelor level and have at least 3 years relevant job experience, e.g. with transportation/logistics, marketing or other support services.

You have an analytical mindset and a drive to achieve commercial results. You enjoy taking responsibility, and would like to be part of an international environment with contacts worldwide. You are strong in building relations.
You are fluent in written and spoken English.
