华为斥资5亿美元为丹麦打造新一代移动通信网络

新华社哥本哈根12月9日电(记者杨敬忠)华为公司副总裁兼欧洲地区总裁王胜利9日晚在此间宣布,华为未来6年将在丹麦投资27亿丹麦克朗(合5亿美元),帮助丹麦建设新一代全国移动通信网络,并创造100多个新的工作岗位。
  9日晚,华为丹麦分公司在哥本哈根市中心的德安勒特酒店(Hotel D'Angleterre)举行主题为“拥抱未来”的盛大庆典,庆祝公司成立五周年。众多中丹高层官员、商界领袖、专家和媒体记者与会。中国驻丹麦大使刘碧伟、丹麦科技、创新与高等教育大臣莫滕·奥斯特高(Morten Oestergaard )、华为欧洲地区总裁王胜利分别致辞。
  谈到华为未来在丹创新和投资计划,王胜利说:“欧洲是华为未来投资的战略重心,而丹麦一直是华为在欧洲的投资研发基地和重要市场之一。华为将在丹麦创造更多就业机会,提供最先进的通信网络,帮助丹麦加强基础设施建设,在多领域推进互利合作。预计到2014年中,华为在丹员工将超过225人。未来6年,华为在丹追加投资27亿克朗,打造最新、最好、最快的移动通信网。”
    他指出,华为已成为带动欧洲发展与创新的重要企业。目前,华为在欧有7500名雇员,创造了6000多个间接就业机会,每年投资超5亿欧元(约7亿美元)。华为还对其在欧洲的13个研发中心持续加大投资。到2020年,华为将研发出下一代通信网络技术,速率将比今天的4G网络快100倍。做为欧洲创新的领导者,华为未来五年将投资6亿美元开发5G通信技术。
    他宣布,华为将在丹麦启动一项“播种未来通信种子”教育计划,与当地大学合作,未来五年每年向10名优秀的丹麦大学生提供到华为中国总部实习的机会,培养更多优秀人才,为加快丹麦信息通讯技术产业发展和数字化进程做出更多贡献。
    莫滕·奥斯特高致辞时强调,丹中两国加强创新和高科技领域的技术、知识交流意义重大。丹麦作为一个创新型的国家,非常欢迎像华为这样具有强大创新能力的企业在丹进行长期投资和发展。
    刘碧伟大使指出,华为是一家蜚声海内外的中国民营企业,经营有方,实力雄厚,技术先进。当前中丹关系正处在一个前所未有的最广泛、最深入发展的历史机遇期,明年两国将迎来建立全面战略伙伴关系的第六个年头。“我衷心祝愿华为与丹麦伙伴的合作取得更加丰硕的成果,进一步扩大互利共赢。”(完)

      Huawei to invest 500 million U.S. dollars in Denmark's new generation mobile network

      COPENHAGEN, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- World telecom giant Huawei announced Monday that it will inject 2.7 billion Danish kroner (500 million U.S. dollars) as direct invest into Denmark and offer more than 100 new job posts in the coming six years before 2020.
      Since 2007, Huawei has steadily increased its business in Denmark to meet customers' demand, working with local operators. In September this year, Huawei sealed a major milestone six-year contract with Denmark's biggest telecom service operator TDC to build and manage a new nationwide mobile network, said Victor Wang,  president of Huawei Europe, at a grand ceremony held at the five-star Hotel D'Angleterre in downtown Copenhagen to celebrate the fifth-anniversary of the establishment of Huawei Denmark.
     "Our ambition is to build one of the best and the most modern networks in the world, enabling over 99 percent of the Danish population to enjoy the benefits of high-speed internet access," said Wang.
      Huawei Denmark is moving into a top modern office and investing in a Nordic Network Operation Center in Copenhagen. By next summer, Huawei will increase its Danish branch staff  to over 225 people, creating 100 new job opportunities, he said.
     Denmark, a country with a high degree of digitalization and a strong industry chain, offers exciting opportunities for the win-win coopration between Chinese and Danish enterprises, Wang noted, adding that Huawei will launch a global work-experience program for information and communications technology (ICT) talents  in cooperation with local universities, including a three-week experience trip to Huawei HQ in Shenzhen, China for 10 Danish ICT students each year in the next 5 years.
     Growth and innovation topped the  agenda of Monday's Huawei celebration conference with the theme Embrace The Future, which brought together a broad group of high-profile officials, businessmen, experts and media representatives. Danish Minister for Science, Innovation and Higher Education Morten Oestergaard, Huawei European Director Victor Wang and Chinese Ambassador Liu Biwei took a floor at the event.
     With over 70 000 researc and development (R&D) engineers, Huawei has taken a led in top innovators globally and serves one third of the world's population with communication technologies and solutions. In the last five years, Huawei has managed to establish itself as a key actor in growth and innovation in Europe, and been committed to help European citizens and businesses get the most out of the digital revolution under the EU Digital Agenda.
      Europe has become Huawei's 2nd home market and is at the center of its future investment strategy. Today Huawei spends more than 500 million euros annually in European operations, employs over 7500 Europeans and another 6000 people indirectly.It aslo plans to expand research and innovation efforts at  its 13 R&D centers across Europe, while leading the European research of 4G and 5G technologies.
      Up to 2020, Huawei is working to set up the next generation network that is 100 times faster than today's 4G network, and in the coming five years it will invest 600 million U.S. dollars in developing the 5G technology.  Enditem
