New product Planning (NPP) is a staff function tothe Chief Operations Officer and supports senior- and executivemanagement boards with commercial evaluations and financialassessments. In addition, NPP represents Operations in early phases ofR&D and is involved in evaluation of business developmentopportunities. You will be reporting to Senior Director, New ProductPlanning Diabetes and be part of a team of 6. You will work out ofDenmark.


Challenges
As Global Portfolio Manager you will be responsible for the financialmodelling and valuation of mid- and late-stage R&D projects as wellas in-market products in the area of diabetes, obesity and deliverysystems. Furthermore, you will develop business cases aroundin-licensing opportunities. You will also bring forward commercialrationale for recommendation of new projects, evaluate market needs,and define product profiles for early stage development leadcandidates.


The position offers the opportunity to work across the organisation.You will have impact on commercial decisions for R&D portfolioprojects by developing strategic decision material for seniormanagement boards. More specifically, the job requires high qualityfinancial forecasts including net cash flow, risk profile, timing andcapacity issues.


Qualifications
You hold a Master’s/PhD in economics combined with extensive pharmainsight preferably from the diabetes market or a Master’s/PhD inmedical or natural science combined with strong commercialunderstanding. You have minimum 2 years experience with thepharmaceutical industry and strong analytical and modelling skills.Further you have extensive business analysis experience from productdevelopment based industry (or consultancy/investment bank). Candidateswith documented international experience from the pharmaceuticalindustry are preferred. Finally you must be fluent in spoken andwritten English
