2807 Manager of mechanical and process engineering

Would you like to inspire and head a skilled group of employees working on power plant projects?
Youwill be employed with our mechanical and process engineering departmentunder Engineering and Technology - a technical knowledge centre at theforefront of the development within energy and environment. At present,our staff of 500 employees includes 425 engineers.
The departmentis responsible for planning and design of new power plants and takespart in all project phases - from project development to erection andcommissioning of the plant. Our fields of activity comprise alltechnologies within thermal power plants, including boilers, gas andsteam turbine plants, Balance of Plant, high-pressure pipes anddistrict heating, plant concepts and process calculation.
Youwill refer directly to the director and will be part of a managementgroup consisting of eight managers and one functional manager.
Youremployees are based at Teglholmen in Copenhagen or in Skærbæk nearFredericia. You may choose your place of employment to be in Copenhagenor in Skærbæk. You must expect a number of travels between the twolocations.
Responsibilities and tasks
You arethe daily manager of a department of 20 committed engineers. You areresponsible for developing the department in accordance with thevisions and strategy of the group.
Furthermore, your tasks are to:

• ensure optimum solutions to tasks in the department
• attract, develop and maintain employees holding the right resources and competences
• coordinate tasks and take part in the development across the organisation
• contribute to the development of the area of activity and Engineering and Technology as a whole.

Your profile
You are educated as an engineer and have extensive experience within our area of activity.
Besides,you show good management results, preferably from an equivalentmanagement position with staff responsibility for a similar group ofemployees.
It is essential that you want to work in aninternational environment and that you speak and write English fluently- preferably also German.
Within the area of activity we areestablishing various teams and determining their functions, and one ofyour most essential tasks will be to continue this work.
It isalso essential that you are a good coach for your employees and thatyou can develop the department as a whole. Furthermore, you arecomfortable working in an environment focusing on teamwork andknowledge sharing - both in the department and across the organisation.
