The botanical garden here in Copenhagen has a specimen of the Amorphophallus titanum (also called corpse flower), which will bloom during the following days. This is a pretty rare occasion and the one in the botanical garden has been growing for 9 years and are only now ready to bloom. The flower can grow up to 3 meters and is the largest flower in the plant kingdom, unfortunately is also has a distinctive smell of rotting flesh. The botanical garden will have extraordinary long opening hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during this period.
