30.06 Researcher specialised in Experience Design

A position as Assistant Professor in Product Development and Design is offered at the Department of Industrial and Civil Engineering in Odense.

We are looking for a researcher for building up a new research area within Experience Design. Core competences in Experience Design, Design Anthropology or closely related fields. Focus is on understanding the role of perception in physical product design.

The main research interest in this department is the interaction between humans and technology, such as experience design. The development of this research field is carried out in close cooperation with the research team in Sønderborg lead by Professor Jacob Buur.

At the Department of Industrial and Civil Engineering we are in the middle of an exceptional development of our research profile. We can therefore offer you a unique opportunity to influence the future research at the University of Southern Denmark.

For the research positions we place special emphasis on the publication rate and innovation skills.
The lecturing is to be conducted in English.

The vacancies are full-time positions to be filled 1st of September 2009 or as soon as possible.
