Software developer at the Counterterrorism Research Lab

Applications are invited for a 3-year position as software developer (research assistant) at the Counterterrorism Research Lab,
The Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute, University of Southern Denmarkin Odense, available from October 1, 2009 or soon thereafter.

The Counterterrorism Research Lab is a new intiative at The MaerskMc-Kinney Moller Institute targeted at building a toolbox of advancedmathematical models and software tools to assist criminal investigatorsin harvesting, filtering, storing, managing, analyzing, structuring,mining, interpreting, and visualizing terrorist information.

The primary focus of the position as software developer is to designand develop an early warning system to prevent terrorist attacks basedon open source information.

Applicants for the position must have a relevant higher education insoftware engineering as well as a solid background from systemdevelopment with several years of experience in developing advanced,robust, high-quality software systems. The preferred candidate hasdocumented work experience with early warning systems and has relevantacademic publications.
