Air China announces direct flight between Copenhagen and Beijing

Air China Limited confirmed new direct route between Copenhagen and Beijing. The product announcing meeting in Copenhagen was on 11th April 2018.

After a few months of intensive preparation, Air China finally announced this route at a meeting hosted at the Scandic Hotel Copenhagen. The meeting lasted about two hours and all representatives of Air China from the Nordic Countries were introduced to the public.

During the meeting, Mr. Lars Thykier (Managing Director of Association of Danish Travel agents and tour operators), Mr. Li Zhang (Director of Copenhagen China Culture Centre), Ms. Heidi Wang (City Councillor of Copenhagen Municipality), and Mr. Jinchuan Zhu (General Manager of Air China Nordic and Baltic Countries) gave speeches.

Mr. Jinchuan Zhu (General Manager of Air China Nordic and Baltic Countries) announced the new direct route between Copenhagen and Beijing which will start on 30 May 2018. “There will be 4 flights a week, using Airbus 330-200 for the starting route. “he said, “For the past 30 years, Air China has only operated direct flights from Stockholm to Beijing. The newly launched route Copenhagen – Beijing will be a strong and foundational supplement to the Stockholm – Beijing route. It will not only help increase the number of Chinese tourists to the Nordic Region, but also benefits both Nordic business travellers and Chinese business travellers”. “It will fulfil the vacancy of a service oriented airline between Denmark and China.”.
