Workshop and Guqin Concert on May 3rd 2010

After the proclamation of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, Denmark was one of the first countries to initiate diplomatic relations with this newly founded country.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary, Copenhagen Business Confucius Institute invites you a series of celebrating events that take place at CBS.

All events are free to attend.

1. Workshop Followed by Reception

The key-note speakers of the workshop are:

Professor KJELD-ERIK BRØDSGAARD, director of Asia Research Centre, CBS. Speaking on:  

Danish-Chinese Relations in a Historical Perspective

Former Ambassador ZHEN JIANGUO, Chinese Diplomat who has several decades of experience living and working in Denmark. He will speak on:

Former Consul General in Shanghai CARSTEN BOYER THØGERSEN, Chief China Advisor. He will speak on:

2.  Guqin Concert

In the evening there will be a guqin concert by the renowned artist Wang Peng. He is famous for renovating old guqins, which then have been used by the greatest artist both under the Olympic Games, in movies etc.

This night he has partnered up with the calligrapher Du Dapeng and they will combine the arts, where Wang Peng himself plays the guqin.
