Department
Vestas Blades A/S is an independent corporate business unit within Vestas Wind Systems A/S. Blades is responsible for the global production of wind turbine blades at eight factories located in Europe, Asia and America.
For a newly established position in the Vestas Blades Communications Department in the People & Culture organisation, we are looking for a Communications Specialist to play a key role in the development and strengthening of the internal communication in an international work environment with several thousand employees around the world.
The Communications Department is overall responsible for the development and execution of the internal and external communication in Vestas Blades. As a member of a small, dynamic team, you will be supporting the implementation of our strategy for employee communication. The position offers the right candidate the opportunity to participate heavily in the ongoing development of the field.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Together with the team, you will be tasked with idea development and conveyance of the organisation’s strategic messages through a wide range of communication channels and materials to employees with different cultural and professional backgrounds.
You will be a driving force behind the regular flow of news and information across the organisation, which you will create and execute in close cooperation with the global network you will be building up at our factories and in the staff functions. In this role, you will also be producing the actual materials needed – primarily news articles for the intranet and info screens, but also copy for brochures, posters, etc.
Another key role of yours will be to provide sparring and function as an advisor to the organisation and line management which you will assist in solving communication tasks in a strategic, professional and creative way.
Qualifications and Work Experience
We expect you to: - have a background in journalism or corporate communication (preferably master degree or equivalent)
- possess several years of experience from a similar position in an international corporate environment
- bring significant experience in working with a variety of internal communication channels and media and with creating a strong communication flow with a broad, international target group
- be a fast, creative and eloquent communicator and writer with an eye for the good story
- possess business understanding and display a strategic approach to communication, including the development and execution of communication plans
- have solid experience with leadership communication and be competent in providing professional communication advice
- show initiative and be outgoing, proactive and a strong team player
- be excellent at creating commitment and building relations
- work in a structured manner and stay on top of your job even when under pressure
- have excellent English and Danish writing and communication skills.

Additional Information
Primary work location will be at the Vestas Blades headquarters in Lem, Denmark.
Expected travel activity: Approx 20-30 days per year.
