On behalf of our client, Kinetic Concepts Inc., we are looking for a proactive Marketing Manager for the Nordic health care sector.

THE COMPANY
Kinetic Concepts Inc. is a leading global medical technology company devoted to the discovery, development, manufacture and marketing of innovative, high-technology therapies and products for the wound care and therapeutic support system markets. KCI’s product portfolio offers healthcare professionals and their patients a proven clinical advantage in all care settings with therapies that improve patient outcomes while reducing the overall cost of care.

KCI designs, manufactures, markets and services a wide range of proprietary products which can prevent patient complications or accelerate the healing process - improving clinical outcomes and reducing the overall cost of patient care.

KCI Nordic employs about 75 persons, the majority situated in Denmark and Sweden with smaller teams based in Norway and Finland.

The Management team has adopted an inclusive management style encouraging honest open and direct communication with empowered teams enjoying delegated responsibility to realize the full growth potential of the business.

THE POSITION
Based in Greater Copenhagen the Nordic Marketing Manager will be reporting to the Nordic General Manager and be responsible for the marketing and product mgr. team in the Nordic region ( 4 employees).


Responsible for supporting the General Manager in marketing and product related issues including the development and delivery of marketing and product management strategies and plans across all products in Denmark. In addition, plays a key role in the country management team and develops marketing function competencies and professionalism. Ensures that these strategies and actions enable the achievement of objectives (growth, market share penetration, margins etc) and support the KCII vision and goals.  
  • Leads the Danish Marketing Team by ensuring that marketing strategies are well communicated and motivating, as well as providing the team with the direction and the skills required to execute the marketing plan.
  • Develops country portfolio strategy and business plans (including financials) together with the General Manager and in close co-operation with the Central International Marketing and Product Management Teams.
  • Organises and executes marketing actions including product launches, sales calls and implementation of recommendations resulting from the Mc Kinsey project.
  • Manages the pricing strategy for the country business together with the General Manager.
  • Develops KCI customer relationships through personal interaction with important KCI customers and through the creation of best practice CRM training for the management team.
  • Organises and manages ‘Road shows’ throughout Denmark, particularly for the benefit of Service Centre employees.
  • Liaises with International Marketing and Product Management colleagues in the Netherlands regarding new products, adaptations to existing products and overall marketing strategies.
  • Drives market development efforts, which lead to a growth in sales.
  • Ensures that segment strategies, target account objectives and selling tools are well defined and the support needed to develop new business is provided.
  • Builds strong relationships with direct and indirect sales channels.
  • Performs/organises the necessary training for sales colleagues in relation to product launches.
  • Conducts market research and interprets data and competitive trends in the country marketplace.
  • Participates in the Nordic region management team meetings.
  • Works closely with the Sales Managers to ensure a collaborative approach in achieving KCII goals.
  • Manages, develops and motivates the Project Manager.
  • Conducts regular performance reviews with employees to ensure adherence with targets and prepares improvement targets and plans with employees as required.
  • Manages and develops Key Opinion Leader relationships within Denmark.
  • Participates in the budgeting process to ensure an effective and efficient marketing plan for the country businesses.
  • Ensures relevant team and individual reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintains awareness of changes and development in health care practices and processes.
THE CANDIDATE
Personal Characteristics:
  • Enthusiasm and drive, highly motivated, a self-starter.

  • Able to work in a creative manner when formulating concepts.
  • Able to undertake extensive travel and a demanding work schedule.
  • Ability to write and speak English in a business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead people.
  • Ability to completely maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
  • High levels of integrity, confidence, independence and collaboration skills.
  • Hands on mentality, able to get into detail as necessary.
  • Tough and demanding, but persuasive.
  • Motivating and a true team player and team leader, strong inter-personal skills.
  • Diplomatic and capable of handling complex situations.
  • Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.- also in front of larger groups.
  • Ability to deal effectively in all business relationships while projecting a positive image of the company.
  • Strong commercial orientation.
  • Good sense of humor.
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience on manager level.
  • A proven and impressive marketing track record
  • Owner of a graduate diploma (or higher level), an MBA will be an asset
  • Experience with in all the Nordic countries is an advantage
  • Profound consulting and negotiation experience
  • A fluent English and the ability to communicate fluently in all the Nordic languages
  • Ready to travel and cope with a heavy workload
  • Prepared to invest in the job
SALARY AND BENEFITS
The salary and benefits package will be commensurate with candidate skills and experience. The package will consist of a fixed salary, a bonus and a company car. The pension scheme includes health insurance and participation in KCI’s Group Personal Accident Insurance.
