11\01 Regulatory Affairs Specialist

A position for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist is being sought. The position will be responsible for monitoring global regulations relating primarily to food, preparation of regulatory documents and compliance guidance for such use in Europe. The position reports to the Director Corporate Regulatory Affairs Huub Scheres

We are looking for an efficient Regulatory Affairs Specialist with knowledge of regulatory affairs concerning Food. Your tasks is to:


Support Danisco Divisions and customers on compliance and other issues, including good manufacturing practices and specifications, under the guidance of senior team members.
Participate in label and product litterature reviews with a focus on compliance.
Assist with background research and as needed, under the direction of senior team members, draft position papers as guidance to Danisco Divisions and customers on various issues.
Monitor published regulations, proposals and notices for issues which may impact business, notify appropriate personnel and conduct impact analysis research as needed
Assemble documentation for submissions, applications, registrations, certifications and customer inquiries and assist in preparation of these documents as needed.
Maintain and update department files and regulatory information.

You are having a Bachelor's or Masters (preferred) degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Nutrition, or related areas. Experience in working with European food regulatory issues and agencies preferred, and if you have experience in Industrial, governmental or trade association environment it would be an asset, especially experience if you have worked with Food additives and Health Claim regulations. You must be proficient in spoken and written English and have excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills. German language ability is a plus. Must be comfortable with e-office tools.
