We are currently looking for an assistant to join our summer tours for Chinese middle and high school students,to Scandinavia. You will be working with us during the Copenhagen leg. The groups will consist of on average 21-28 students each and be assisted by two tour leaders, a teacher and you as our local hero. This is a study tour and apart of touristic activities we will engage in some educational activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Guiding the group through the city of Copenhagen and its surroudings
- Tell historical facts and if possible interesting stories about sights and places
- Safeguarding the safety of students and leaders in a place they are not familiar with
- Assist the Tour Leader with running the daily schedule
- Be a friend for the students
- Provide feedback for further program development
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of English, knowledge of Chinese is a plus
- Extensive knowledge of the city of Copenhagen and surroundings
- Strong interpersonal sklls and cross-cultural awareness
- Ability to motivate and energize students no matter in what circumstances
- First Aid certification is a plus
- Experience with leading or assisting student tour/travel groups is a plus
