Business Development Manager

As our new Business Development Manager, you will join Arla FoodsGlobal Ingredients in Aarhus, Denmark. We produce dairy basedingredients for the international food industry. In the business areanutrition, you will become part of Team Health & Performance – adedicated team working with ingredients for functional foods, sportsand clinical nutrition.

Responsible for sales support and business development

You will be responsible for a number of markets, ensuring that thelocal sales people receive the necessary support, so they can executethe sales of our nutrition ingredients. One of your main tasks will beto present new products, communicate new scientific knowledge andsupport customers and sales people. In addition, you will be jointlyresponsible for laying out the strategic path for the markets under ourresponsibility as well as providing input for market oriented productdevelopment.

As an intermediate link between the sales people, the developmentdepartment and the production, you will participate in productdevelopment and documentation projects. You will prepare sales materialand gather market information. In this connection, your marketing andsales know-how will be brought into play. Further, you will cooperatewith your team in decision making and strategic issues and you must beprepared to acquire specialist knowledge. You can look forward togaining an extensive contact base and should expect approximately 40travel days, mainly in Europe.

Specialist knowledge & B2B sales and marketing experience

You preferably hold a master’s degree in Human Nutrition, Food Scienceor Biochemistry or the like and have previously worked with B2B salesand marketing in the food industry or pharmaceutical industry.Preferably, you also have experience working with communication and inprojects. You are fluent in verbal and written English and it is anadvantage if you are able to get by in one of the Scandinavianlanguages.

You possess a high drive and good communication and interpersonalskills and are able to work with colleagues at all levels in theorganisation and from various cultural backgrounds. Concurrently, youare self-propelled and enjoy taking initiative. You have the ability tograsp complicated scientific information and translate the essence intoa line of action within sales support. With your natural curiosity, youare eager to learn and share your knowledge. Finally, you must becapable of overviewing and solving many tasks simultaneously andworking in a dynamic environment.
