We are seeking a Category Manager of Process System Sourcing to be part of Global Engineering Sourcing in Gentofte. This is your opportunity to join a very professional department in a company which is world leading in diabetes treatment among other pharmaceutical areas. As central sourcing unit we are responsible for management of suppliers to Novo Nordisk’s global pharmaceutical production sites and procurement management in complex investment projects worldwide. Our annual spend in advanced production plants with state of the art equipment is approx. 3 bill DKK.

Manage a world-class supplier base

Challenges
The position as Category Manager is extremely challenging. Your over-all responsibility is to drive the category and manage suppliers and sourcing activities within your category. You are responsible for implementing global supplier strategies and approve suppliers in order to maintain a world-class supplier base for high tech tank systems, agitators, columns, freeze dryers, UF filters etc. You motivate category members and cooperate closely with our worldwide production sites, R&D, legal and others.

Also, you will be Procurement Manager in several investment projects and have commercial responsibility for procurement of engineering goods and services. During project execution, you manage commercial claims handling. Key responsibilities will also be to conduct tendering, evaluate bids, negotiate with suppliers and subsequently prepare contracts with low risk and good terms. The position also includes preparing business cases, representing Novo Nordisk externally, ensuring good supplier relations and maintaining a good market overview.

5 years’ experience and leadership skills

Qualifications
Our new colleague has approx. 5 years of experience from the consulting engineering, manufacturing or process industry. You have project management, procurement management or sales experience. You also have cross-functional leadership skills and an ability to build relationships and trust as well as get commitment from both internal and external partners. The ideal candidate has technical knowledge of process equipment, commercial flair and a passion for negotiations and contract management. As a person you are dedicated, and have extremely good people and communication skills – also in written and spoken English. A relevant educational background is an MSc or BSc degree in a technological field possibly supported by Business Studies.
