THE JOB
MERIT MEDICAL IS SEEKING AN AREA SALES MANAGER TO OUR EMEA
DISTRIBUTORS AND PACKERS TEAM:
As Area Sales Manager EMEA, Distributors and Packers, you report directly to
the Sales Manager, EMEA, Distributors and Packers. The position is based in
Hørsholm, Denmark.
You will be responsible for a number of International Distributors and Packers
in the European, Middle Eastern and African territory, with primary focus on
Eastern Europe and Russia.
You will be part of the distributor EMEA sales and support team, handling day
to day communication with customers on sales, forecasting, shipping,
regulatory issues, etc.. The position will primarily focus on supporting the
distributor’s sales personnel and assisting them where necessary to ensure all
potential sales opportunities are maximized.
You will manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve sales and profit goals in the
assigned markets as well as design and recommend sales and marketing
programs for distributors and set short and long-term sales targets.
You will also be involved in selecting, establishing and educating new
distributors as well as offer continuing support to existing distributors for Merit
Medical´s products.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Setting short- and long term targets for assigned distributors
· Support distributors’ sales personnel in direct sales to physicians
· Preparations for and follow-up on business trips
· Sales planning and forecasting
· Travel days 80 – 100 per year
The Ideal candidate has follows qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business or similar
· A minimum of 2 to 5 years International business experience
· Knowledge of medical devices industry
· Communication and language skills
· Presentation skills
· Travel experience and expertise working with international
distributors
· Candidates with experience from Russia will be preferred, but is not a
requirement
Skills:
· Fluency in English and preferably another major European language
(Russian would be ideal, but not a requirement)
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Good organizational skills
· Self-motivated and capable of working individually
· Goal oriented
· Highly motivated
· Excellent sales and distributor management skills
· Excellent written/verbal communication skills
