2604 SQL Server Database Architect

Saxo Bank is using Microsoft SQL Server for the data of its systems. The key business systems are mostly developed by Saxo Bank. The systems are servicing an international business with the highest demands in availability, response and scalability.
Saxo Bank IT Services department needs another SQL Server Database Architect. We are operating in an international financial business and require a robust and expandable database platform. Some of the installations are very business critical and must be handled with great care and dedication.
We are looking for an experienced Database Architect who can ensure that the databases are running smooth in any business situation, and that the server design and infrastructure architecture are of the highest standards.
Primary tasks:

• Database Infrastructure architecture and design.
• Highly available database systems.
• Database availability using SQL Server database mirroring.
• Database modeling and architecture especially the physics of a database.
• Database scoping and sizing in new systems and new features on existing systems.
• Database operations on the databases as well as the database platform components and the operating system.
• Database security in maintaining a robust security model and ensure the implementation of the model in new installations. This includes audit by Internal Audit and FSA.
• Database automation and monitoring.
• Database documentation and knowledge sharing.

Your Profile:

• You are able to work independently as well as part of a highly qualified team.
• You set high standards for yourself and take great pride in your work.
• You are service-minded and possess good analytic and troubleshooting skills.
• Have a extended Experience with SQL 2008.
• Have experience with architecture and design in a large database deployment (100+ instances).
• Have been working with a highly available Database environment in minimum 4 years.
• Have been working with a 24/7 database environment.
