We are looking for a seasoned professional with deep understanding of the sustainability agenda in a business context, experience from integrating responsible practices into day-to-day business, and proven ability to operate in this space and to communicate effectively how a sustainability-driven approach generates value to the business and to society.

The position is anchored with the Global TBL Management function at the corporate headquarters in Denmark. This team is responsible for overseeing and driving Novo Nordisk’s performance in accordance with the Triple Bottom Line principle of conducting business in a financially, environmentally and socially responsible way. This includes annual reporting, global sustainability initiatives, strategic stakeholder engagements, global standards and internal capacity-building.

Challenges
The Programme Director reports to the VP of Global TBL Management and will, as a senior member of the team, take a key role in developing the area and the team.

Your main responsibility will be to manage Novo Nordisk’s strategic engagement programme ’Blueprints for change’ and to develop robust metrics for assessing business value and societal impacts from sustainability-driven initiatives, primarily related to health. As the backbone, you will prepare a series of solid reports on market experience. To build the contents you will collaborate with the line of business, and you will engage with internal and external stakeholders to share learnings and drive sustainable change.

You will be expected to have or to quickly build a good understanding of Novo Nordisk’s business so that you can contribute to the continuous development of our communication on Novo Nordisk as a sustainable business. This includes a good understanding of financials and market dynamics as well as a good grasp of Novo Nordisk’s overall competitive positioning.

Qualifications
You will have solid experience from similar senior positions in global organisations, preferably with a background from the healthcare sector, and you take a keen interest in understanding the dynamics between the industry and society, and their implications for Novo Nordisk.

You understand how to speak with numbers and facts as well as with passion and personality. You exercise personal leadership to win influence and support and have strong interpersonal skills.

You can operationalise strategic concepts and provide structure and clarity to complex matters. You have strong networking and partner development skills, you are culturally sensitive, diplomatic and politically astute.

You must be a role model through strong personal ethics and values. You are a team-player with a high degree of independence, conscientious, structured and out-going with a strong quality mindset. You never lose focus, even in a dynamic environment of changing demands and tight deadlines.

Your English must be native speaker, and you can demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills.
