The Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing is looking for a student worker for its export financing area

The Royal Danish Embassy under the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is looking for an energetic, bright and independent student preferably with some experience within the Financing or Accounting Industry to work within the Embassy’s Export Financing Area of the Trade Council in China.
The Trade Council (TC) is fully integrated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; TC assists and promotes Danish companies’ interests in China. TC consists of 5 different industry teams with around 60 employees in 5 different locations in China. Export Financing is a cross-cutting sector that works within each of these 5 teams. Working from the main representation, The Royal Danish Embassy, the intern will work as a fully integrated member of the Export Financing Team and report directly to the Trade Councils Financial Officer.
We offer a challenging work environment where you need to combine independent work with a high degree of team-work. Your work will include:
• Research, data mapping and analysis within the area of export financing relevant for the work of the Trade Council.
• Preparing presentation material and assistance with editing and writing of informational material.
• Assistance with coordination, preparation and participation of meeting programmes between Danish companies and Chinese financial institutions or companies.
• Collection and verification of Chinese company accounts in connection to on-going cases.
If you are a team player with an eye for quality and an extrovert personality and can meet the following required qualifications you should apply for the position:
• Strong analytical and communication skills and a structured approach to assignments.
• Excellent command of Mandarin and English both oral and written.
• Majors within Financing, Economics or Accounting with experience within export financing will be a plus.
Work hours will be approx. 20 hours/week but with flexibility to adjust weekly schedule according to on-going studies and exams of the intern. The work is paid according to the conditions for local student workers at the Royal Danish Embassy.
The duration of the internship is 6 months with the possibility of extension.
