Product Specialist:
As Product Specialist you will have comprehensive responsibility within the product area for the Danish budget, sales and an adequate market mix adaptation of our products to customers in the medical field. This demands a high commitment, and work capacity/performance, a result and customer orientated person, with power of initiative, flexibility, creativity; independency and above all a person that possesses high social skills and flexibility to travel mainly within Denmark and in the Nordic countries and France. You will report directly to the Clinical Business Manager.

You are a link between our internal global support organization and our customers. Because the field that we work in is in a highly regulated environment, you will have to keep our customers updated with the latest post-market product information, and work with our technicians in updating instruments. These tasks mean that your communication skills and level of Danish/English, both written and spoken, have to be high. The Clinical Team is specialized on our products, so you are also responsible for the implementation of user sessions, and to train and support our customers on our equipment. You will be responsible to sell our clinical solutions and laboratory automation to hospital laboratories, organize customer trainings, and also preparing training materials. Customer support is an important part of your work. Your work includes also to translate and to review product documentation, when necessary. We are ISO 9001 certified and your work is done under our quality management system (QMS). You are responsible for sales to existing and new clients.

This service requires a high level of sales capabilities and social skills. It is essential to have training in microbiology, molecular biology; work in the clinical microbiological laboratory or the equivalent is creditable. You must be a problem solver that is capable of managing many projects simultaneously. The position involves a significant amount of traveling: the number of travel days per year being close to 70 pc.

Desirable background and characteristics:

• Documented work experience as a product specialist and/or sales of products in the area diagnostic and laboratory automation. Knowledge in LEAN process is of benefit
• Knowledge in clinical microbiological laboratory or equivalent
• Strong background in Molecular Biology/Microbiology or Natural Science, Biomedical Analysis with experience from the business area.
• Experience of Sales and negotiation skills / business minded
• High technical skills and social skills
• Ability to train customers on the application and use of bioMérieux equipment
• Ability to take initiative, work independently and result-oriented
• Experience of working with the office package
• Mastery of English in speech and writing, and holding the B driving licence
• Knowledge in molecular biology and immunology are meritorious
