12/11 Projectmanager - Communications

Semco Maritime is looking for an experienced engineer for a challengingposition as Project Manager for large scale communication projectsworldwide.
The Project Manager will be an integrated part of our CommunicationSystems team in Esbjerg, Denmark. The team is engaged in turnkeycommunication systems for our world wide clients for offffshore/onshoreoil & gas production and drilling operations as well as totalcommunication solutions for other major telecommunication clients.

Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will have the overall responsibility for peoplemanagement in the project team, project planning and reporting, projecteconomy, customer contact, sup-supplier contact/Purchase contracts andother tasks related to the overall project execution for ourtelecommunication projects worldwide.
The job will involve up to 60 annual travel days worldwide.

Requirements:
You have an engineering degree including management and/or otherrelevant skills including offshore or onshore large scale projectknowledge. We would expect that you have experience withintelecommunication related projects or other projects for a totalproject value from DKK 10 million up to DKK 80 million. We expect youto be an experienced user of the Microsoft Office Package as well asMicrosoft Project Planner. Your ability to communicate fluently orallyand in writing in English is essential and preferable in Danish, butnot essential.

Personal qualifications:
We are looking for a person who can manage people/projects and at thesame time be part of the always ongoing developing work for thecommunication systems by managing our projects in a professional wayand by cooperating with our highly competent engineering team. Youshould have the knowledge and be interested in customercontact/presentations and negotiations also with customers and SemcoMaritime team members with different cultural and religious background.Your cooperation skills should also be on a high and positive levelboth regarding engineers and managers for our internationaltelecommunication projects as well as for other internal departments inSemco Maritime. You should have the necessary assertiveness, also underpressure. The ability to cooperate is essential, as you will be part ofa dynamic team; you are, however, also required to work independently.
