SATELLITE PROJECT MANAGER
FURUNO Broadband Service Center
Based upon FURUNO’s growing activities within maritime Broadband Satellite Communication Systems, we
established a new company FURUNO BROADBAND SERVICE CENTER in Copenhagen, Denmark for
servicing our customers and distributors in the EMEA region and in USA.

FURUNO BROADBAND SERVICE CENTER (FBS) will be responsible for development, expansion and
maintenance of FURUNO’s technological excellence within Maritime Communication including marketing,
support and traffic accounting for our maritime mobile satellite communication systems counting INMARSAT
and VSAT systems.

FBS will, in corporation with our parent Company FURUNO ELECTRIC CO., Ltd, Japan and FURUNO’s
distribution network be responsible for introduction and promotion of new operationally effective products
and services acting as a centralized customer service and Network Operating Center supervising satellite
connectivity, bandwidth utilization etc.

To secure the fast growth of our Maritime Broadband business and for reaching our ambitious goals for FBS,
we are looking for a motivated professional Satellite Project Manager.

Functions and responsibilities
• Coordinate and initiate actions of all tasks in connection with VSAT/Inmarsat Broadband activities.
• Establish and monitor implemented communication applications.
• Assist subsidiaries and National distributors with expert/experienced knowledge of IT/IP
communication.
• Instructor for VSAT/INMARSAT Broadband solutions during technical seminars.
• Communication with end users regarding utilization of bandwidth and traffic issues.
• Assist with expert knowledge in installation, network, IT/IP communication and applications.
• Co-ordination of technical services with National Distributors and FURUNO’s World Wide Service
• Network.
• Contact with airtime providers NOC.
• Travel activity in connection with introduction and technical seminars.

Qualifications and profile of candidate:
• Project management and hands-on experience with IT and Network.
• Competence with satellite Communications Systems, configuration, modem and system set-up with
IP addresses, router configurations, firewalls, VoIP, QoS…
• Commercial flair.
• Competence as an Instructor.
• Innovative, open-minded, flexible and ambitious
• Excellent command of English both verbal and in writing.
