Internship at Invest in Denmark, Shangai

Are you interested in being part of a team that sustains Danish growth and attracts Chinese investments to Denmark in order to create jobs?

Invest in Denmark (IDK) is the national investment promotion agency of Denmark, and is part of the Trade Council, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. Invest in Denmark assists foreign companies with an interest in establishing activities in Denmark. In particular, we focus on areas where Denmark has proven competitive strengths: Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Life Science, Cleantech and Location Denmark.

The position as an intern in Invest in Denmark in Shanghai starts on February 1st 2014 and ends July 31st 2014. You will be part of the Invest in Denmark China team, located at the Innovation Centre Denmark, Shanghai, which consists of nine highly qualified colleagues. As an intern you will be responsible of a large and diverse portfolio of assignments within the fields of ICT, Cleantech and Life science.

Job responsibilities

Focused market research
Research on Chinese companies’ core competencies
Assisting investment managers in the areas of Life Sciences, Cleantech, ICT and Location Denmark
Project management of specific events and activities
Assisting in developing business intelligence
Preparing presentations, updating databases and other administrative tasks

Qualifications

You have a Bachelor degree and you are currently studying a relevant Master's degree
Commercial and/or economic background and a good understanding of business environments
Strong analytical skills
Fluency in Danish and English, both written and spoken, is a prerequisite. In addition, a solid understanding of Chinese is also required.

The purpose of the internship is to contribute to the intern’s development and education as well as providing an insight in foreign affairs. The most important task will be to take part in our investment team. Applicants should have good interpersonal skills. We therefore expect you to be a team-player and possess a great deal of initiative. Invest in Denmark is looking for an extrovert and independent candidate with a high drive, and a person who is capable of delivering within deadlines. The internship is unpaid, but you will be compensated with CNY 2800/month to cover parts of your living expenses. Previous interns have successfully obtained scholarships.
