1007 Application scientist – biocontrol systems

We seek a creative and result-oriented scientist/project leader to helpdrive the development of enzyme based biocontrol and disinfectionsystems.

Challenges
Novozymes has developed a number of promising technologies forcontrolling the growth and viability of unwanted microorganisms. Thesetechnologies may find use in a broad range of application areas rangingfrom process industry, over food industry and into the health care andmedical device area.

You will be working with these technologies in the laboratory based onthe projects we already have established in the area, but you will alsobe working closely with colleagues from our business development groupon finding new markets/applications that can benefit from ourtechnologies.

In addition to the work we do in our own laboratories, you will alsohave to coordinate activities with external research organizations aswell as customers/partners in the area.

Qualifications
You have a strong scientific background (PhD or MSc level) in i.e.chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, chemical engineering or thelike, combined with work experience within applied R&D.

As project leader you have demonstrated that you can handle complexproblems that can comprise of a variety of technical, regulatory andmarket-oriented issues.

Past experience in a related technical field (i.e. biocides,preservation, disinfection) will be an advantage, but is not seen asprerequisite for applying for the position.

You have an outgoing global mindset and thrive in a challenging, informal and fun working environment.
