Senior Researcher in Climate Change Activities with a focus on Asia
Qualifications
The position require a degree in economics, engineering, planning, natural science or other relevant discipline at PhD or equivalent level and several years of working experience with China and the Asian region. Documented knowledge of Chinese institutional setups, laws, regulations, and policies on energy and climate change issues.
Experience and insight regarding climate change negotiations, positions and concerns of Asian developing countries - and on emerging issues in connection with these such as NAMA's and technology transfer. Relevant academic publications. Demonstrated ability to initiate new projects in co-operation with international and Chinese institutions.
The working language at the Centre is English. The position will include close collaboration with Chinese institutions - proficiency in Chinese is therefore also required.
