The Graduate Program within Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking has been developed to train and maintain high potential young graduates within HP.
Currently we are recruiting 50 graduates into HP spread over 8 countries in General Western Europe: Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. This means that you will have intensive contact with your international colleagues and that you'll have the opportunity to travel across Europe (e.g. Spain, Germany, Austria) to meet your colleagues personally and to follow trainings abroad delivered by the best trainers in the field.
In total the duration of the program will be 18 months, divided into 3 phases.
During the first one (2 months) you'll get to know HP as well as HP's products and you'll follow some general trainings on how to sell and you'll work on an assignment in the business (marketing, sales operations, finance, etc.).
In the second phase (6 months) you will start in your position as Junior Account Manager/Pre-sales consultant and work together with an experienced colleague. In this phase you will also work on an assignment in another field to gain more business experience. During this phase you'll have two practical trainings for your position.
In the third phase (10 months) you will start working in your own position independently. You will be responsible for your own customers and sales targets. In the final stage of the program you will travel abroad for an exclusive seminar that is organized for you on how to network within HP and teach you all about career opportunities how to plan your career at HP. You will also work with the recruitment team to participate at campus activities to attract new potential to our company.
For the Graduate program we are looking for Junior Account Managers
As a Junior Account Manager at HP you will focus on generating new business thru development of existing accounts or acquisition of new. You will be a part of the young and dynamic sales team within the business unit of Enterprise Storage Servers and Networking. Thru collaboration in a virtual team with channel partners, alliance partners (ie Microsoft, Vmware, Citrix, Redhat among others), presales, back-office & product managers you will generate new business opportunities & close deals.
Responsibilities
  • Establish business relationship with key stakeholder and end customers
  • Identify business-drivers, challenges and current IT environment at end customers
  • Transform customer business challenge to a new sales opportunity
  • Sell the complete HP Enterprise Storage Servers and Networking and associated services portfolio - as a converged infrastructure
  • Establish a virtual team based on the needs for specific deals
  • Collaborate with channel partner to sell HP product to the customer

Detailed Tasks
Contact decision makers thru outbound calling, identify business challenges, generate sales opportunity and follow up for closure.
  • Outbound calls: 10-15 Decision Makers contacts per day to profile customer, generate opportunities and follow up opportunities for closure
  • Inbound calls: from assigned customers or HP personnel (Sales specialists, Presales)
  • The Junior Account Manager closes the sales on assigned products and has account responsibility with quota and KPI goals
  • Collaboration with Sales management to drive marketing programs, demand generation, sales initiatives, and incremental revenue
  • Delegate and drive required internal HP back office sales support
  • Delegate and engage office-based, field presales as appropriate
  • Bachelor degree (or above) - you will graduate by September 2010 or you graduated less than 12 months ago
