Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk's Product Supply. Strategic sourcing is responsible for the strategic sourcing activities related to Novo Nordisk's worldwide pharmaceutical production sites as well as global management of suppliers. Our main task is to ensure that we achieve Novo Nordisk's sourcing objectives. In Devices & Needles, one of the 6 departments in Strategic Sourcing, we are now looking for a Senior Category Manager for the Prefilled Device category.
Challenges
You will be responsible for the Prefilled Device category, where you will have a dual role. First off all you will be responsible for ensuring the right fit to strategic and crucial suppliers and for creating added value from the supplier relations within the category. This means that you in cooperation with other stakeholders in Novo Nordisk will be responsible for setting up and optimizing the global supplier base, e.g. analysing, developing and executing strategies, developing business cases, searching and assessing suppliers and negotiating contracts. The position is challenging due to the diversity in the strategic sourcing tasks.
Secondly, you will be responsible for establishing and executing the internal stakeholder alignment of the sourcing related activities. Devices & Needles will be a key player in Product Supply's new "Fast-to-Market" strategy and consequently the strategic focus and exposure to senior management is high within this strategic category. For the same reason, this position offers excellent development opportunities for the right candidate.
Qualifications
You have minimum 7 years relevant working experience and you have a strong strategic and commercial mindset. You thrive by exploring opportunities and developing strategies and your communication and people skills ensures commitment and execution. You will have high influence in shaping your own job while working towards achieving the agreed objectives. We are looking for candidates with an educational background as MBA, Master in Business, Graduate Diploma in Business, Engineering or equivalent educational level.
