Job description:
Telecom Operations Engineer- Billing & Rating system
Candidate must have domain knowledge in any kind of IT system.
It could be better if candidate has knowledge in Telecom Billing & Rating Systems: Rating, Billing, Invoicing, Payment processing.
Requirements/must have skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field and 2+ years of related work experience.
2+ years of experience in using MySQL or Oracle Databases.
2+ years of experience using one or more Linux/Unix OS.
Experience with hands on capability on execution, troubleshooting of rating (online/offline) via diameter credit control application, mediation, billing, dunning, invoice and payment processing.
Responsibilities
• Conduct root cause analysis on critical/major system events and institute preventative actions to eliminate future incidents.
• Interact with Customer Care teams to handle customer initiated issues, and be able to troubleshoot it, either by requesting additional details, or investigating further to provide enough detail for development teams.
• Interact with Development teams to agree on solution for fixes, and negotiate timelines and priorities.
• Coordinate and participate in emergency responses, perform root cause analysis, identify and work with development teams to implement solutions to prevent re-occurrences
• Collaborate with QA engineers, lead developers and solution architects and take initiative to advance the quality, performance and scalability of our applications by influencing the architecture and design of our products with ‘operability’ in mind
• Daily Billing & Rating related jobs execution.
