Maersk Procurement Shanghai is searching for an intern to commence work in Shanghai beginning summer of 2010 for a period of up to one year.
The right candidate will be given the following key responsibilities:
• Developing presentations for supplier workshops and negotiations
• Assist local organization with market-research and supplier profile analysis
• Assist sourcing teams with spend gathering and preparation for sourcing activities
• Establish Total Cost of Ownership analyses and evaluations
• Co-operate closely with key internal stakeholders, lead-buyers and colleagues
• Ensure general frame-agreement coordination, including the monitoring of deadlines and milestones
• Participate in ad hoc procurement projects
The ideal candidate has:
• Good planning and co-ordination skills and is a self-starter and motivator
• Professional English skills both verbal and written
• Familiarity with MS-Office package
• Experience within the logistics and transportation sector
• A chance to develop his/her own job and change the job description accordingly as we get to know each other
• An interest in living in and learning a new culture in the fastest developing city/country in Asia
