IELTS: International English Language Testing System
The IELTS is a world-wide English language testing standard accepted by universities as an entrance requirement, governments for immigration point systems and employers as reliable certification of English language skills and ability. The exam consists of four modules: speaking, listening, reading and writing which use a scoring system ranging from 1-9. The most common score required for entrance to an institution of higher education in Denmark is 6.5, although this can vary depending on discipline.
