You can apply for equal status with Danish citizens if you are marriedto a citizen of an EU Member State, an EEA country or Switzerland irrespective of the country of which you are a citizen
If you wish to qualify for receiving SU on equal terms with Danish nationals under this rule, you must meet three conditions:
you must be married to a national from an EU Member State or an EEA country or Switzerland and
your partner must be employed or self-employed in Denmark and
you must have lived together with your partner while he/she was employed in Denmark, or you must live together with your partner, while he/she is employed in Denmark.
In order to be entitled to SU, you must meet all three conditions.
If you have lived with your partner while he/she was employed in Denmark, you are only entitled to SU if your partner is still employed in Denmark.
