Arvid Nilsson A/S has just centralized all purchasing at our headquarters in Hvidovre, just outside Copenhagen, and is now looking for an additional member of our sourcing team. We source fasteners worldwide and we always pursue to ensure the right level of quality at the right price in the right time.
The Purchase Department is divided into two units: A purchase team and a sourcing team. The purchase team takes care of our stock keeping units and the sourcing team takes care of all sourcing regarding both new products and products already included in our standard program.
Job description
The main objective as sourcing engineer will be to ensure speed and quality in our sourcing processes. Your areas of responsibilities will be:
- sourcing suppliers of new products
- maintaining current supplier base of existing products ensuring that we are always getting the best deal according to our demands
- quality assurance and evaluation of suppliers
- ensuring the right quality of products according to customers demands
- maintaining our supplier database
- creating item numbers
Your profile
In this position it is necessary to have branch knowledge. This means that you need to previously have been involved in purchasing and/or product management of fasteners. It is also an advantage if you have experience from sourcing and creating contacts with suppliers all over the world. A person with a relevant technical background who is commercial and business minded will be preferred.
You speak English and a minimum of one Scandinavian language. You have good command in MS-Office (especially Excel) and knowledge in SAP is an advantage.
