Key role
Referring to the CEO you will play a key role in the continuous growth of Scandinavian Farms in Guanyun, north of Shanghai. As CCO you will be overall responsible for Purchase and Sales. As a natural member of the management team you will be involved in tactical and strategic decision-making in relation to the operation. You will occasionally take responsibility for the operation in the absence of the CEO.
It will be your main responsibility to build up and consolidate the purchase department. You will also be involved in selling slaughter pigs to a network of slaughterhouses in the area. This will include maintaining the existing network and continue building up the sales office’s commercial process selecting the trading partner and negotiating price. You will after some time in the position be involved in sales of breeding animals in China.
Solid experience
We are looking for a person with solid experience and proven results from a similar position, where strong growth scenarios and building up a strong and sustainable company value stream and structure have been key elements for success. We expect that you have a higher education level or technical degree combined with good and strong commercial understanding. If you have experience from the agricultural sector, it will be an advantage but not a must. Knowledge of the Chinese market and language as well as experience from working in the APC region or in EE will be a plus.
As a person you are entrepreneurial, independent, energetic and hold good interpersonal and managerial abilities. You are clear in your communication and are able to establish and maintain good relations with your peers and staff as well as your clients and other stakeholders in an international environment. You speak and write English at negotiation level. If you speak Chinese it will be an advantage.
The CCO will work from the office in Guanyun (km 500 north of Shanghai), which requires independence in your working style, as presence on site will be required Monday to Friday.
