This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a new organization with very ambitious goals and a unique production technology, on a permanent basis. This role would suit a production supervisor or a team/shift leader looking to take the next step in their career. The main purpose of the role is to ensure the timely supply of high quality manufactured products through effective scheduling and liaison with operations teams.
Other responsibilities include:
Ensure efficient productivity through people management and equipment utilization.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety and operating procedures.
Create and review production and engineering workshop schedules to ensure customer lead times are achieved by utilizing resources in a cost effective manner.
Organize and lead work activities in production and engineering machine shop to ensure lead times and quality targets are achieved within agreed cost levels.
Investigate non-conformances, process and product issues and customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions as required.
Ensure compliance with site safety and environmental policies and regulations and maintain a high level of housekeeping.
Support continual improvement, team development and the ongoing investment in new products, processes and equipment.
Maintain the documented management system within production and engineering to ensure ongoing compliance to ISO9001, ISO14001 and IS018001.
The successful applicant will ideally be qualified to degree level in an engineering-related discipline and will have prior production supervisory experience. The applicant will ideally have experience from a project-based production line, with high quality levels, strict product regulations and growing volumes.
They will have a good understanding of work scheduling and planning and will have prior experience of ISO9001 quality management standard and development of documented procedures. Lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement experience would be an advantage.
They will have good people management with strong communication skills and have effective co-ordination skills with ability to prioritize and manage change to meet customer and business needs.
