Company background:
Bookatable.com is a multilingual international website that offers (free) real-time restaurant bookings. The site has grown surprisingly fast since the launch in early 2009, and is currently the biggest online restaurant booking site in several European markets. Due to the success and a major new investment - we are now looking to expand the team with several positions, while also boosting marketing and development. The aim is to be THE place to do restaurant bookings in Europe!

Job overview:
As a key member of the senior management team, the Marketing Managers task will be to drive traffic to Bookatable.com from a range of channels, such as online advertising, search engine marketing (SEM), PR and to a certain degree offline advertising and events. Managing a small team, the Marketing Manager will deliver and adapt comprehensive and integrated strategies to create a clear brand, position, communications and activity plan for Bookatable.com. The Marketing Manager will also provide customer feedback and insight so that we can use this to inform how we develop our products and services.

The Marketing Manager will have ownership of all of the following areas; global marketing spend, online ad buys, online partnerships, SEM, branding, customer insight, CRM, PR, events and sponsorship. He/she will oversee all activities related to conceptualising and implementing marketing strategy, in print, electronic, and other media. Given the nature of the site the majority of the marketing spend will happen online and be highly data driven with the purpose of maximizing return of investment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to build a new house hold brand for online restaurant bookings across several markets. Success will be measured by traffic and brand awareness (reach) and bookings (revenue).

Much of the marketing activity will be carried out by a central team, although the Marketing Manager will also need to work closely with Regional Managers and Partners to execute some of the plans.

It is envisaged that as the company grows, over time the Marketing Manager might develop to become the Marketing Director or Chief Marketing Officer.

Due to the wide reach of the site the organisation of Bookatable.com is not tied to a single office location. The Marketing Manager is expected to work from either the London, UK office or the Copenhagen, Denmark office. A certain amount of travel is a necessity.

Key objectives:
- Build a marketing strategy and marketing team for Bookatable.com, in cooperation with Managing Director.
- Execute the marketing strategy to deliver increased traffic and brand awareness for Bookatable.com, and as a result grow the number of bookings done via the site.

Responsibilities
- Control marketing investment and report on marketing effectiveness

- Segment the existing and future customer base and build a proposition that resonates with each segment (with the Product Manager)
