丹麦的小城海尔辛格，安徒生称之为“丹麦最美丽的一角”。它也是丹麦历史最悠久的小城之一，在这座古老而又袖珍的城中，有建于15世纪的哥特式Sankt　Olai大教堂、斯堪的那维亚半岛保存最完好的十五世纪的修道院和它的旧式民居和小街，一座气势恢宏的城堡赫然屹立在半岛的最尖端，扼守着Oeresund海峡最狭窄处。它就是卡隆堡（Kronborg）城堡，神秘的哈姆雷特之城。
1602年当莎士比亚开始执笔他的名著《哈姆雷特》时，选中了Kronborg，这个在17年前建成的北欧城堡作为故事的背景。尽管莎翁本人并没有亲眼见到过这个城堡，但这个代表了丹麦的海上霸权的城堡在当时已经威名远扬。1420年斯堪的那维亚国王Eric ofPomerania决定在Oeresund海峡的最窄处修建一个小要塞Krongen，作为征收过往波罗的海的船只通行税的关卡。一百五十年后，丹麦国王弗莱德里克二世用征收关税带来的巨大财富在要塞的旧址上用十年的时间修建起了豪华宏大的宫殿卡隆堡（Kronborg）。从此它既是扼守海峡的要塞又是丹麦皇家权力威严的象征。莎士比亚选卡隆堡（Kronborg）作为丹麦王子哈姆雷特的城堡自然是非其莫属了。所以后人又把这个城堡成为哈姆雷特城堡。

哈姆雷特王子只是莎士比亚笔下虚构的人物。但在他身上发生的悲壮的复仇故事和剧中“To be or not tobe”的名句给卡隆堡（Kronborg）城堡涂抹上了一层神秘的悲剧色彩，几百年来吸引着无数的人们从世界各地前来凭吊哈姆雷特这位从来没有在此生活过的传说王子，来体验Elsinore城堡（莎剧中的城堡名称）给他们带来的心灵震撼。

城堡的大门上有精美的雕刻，那皇冠就象征着权力。

用人物雕像装饰城堡和建筑是西方人的喜爱，源于古希腊人们对人体的崇拜。

城堡是座四四方方的砖石结构的房子，四周的房屋相通，中间是个大院子，外面有护城河，一进院子就看见一个高高的尖塔，可以瞭望海上的情况。

在城堡的屋子里可以看到外面的一切情况，并操纵大炮来进攻或防卫。

城堡内的一幅巨型油画，表现了当时过往人员怎么对丹麦国王王后恭敬有加，晋献礼品。

银质的骨骼、头部用一个笔记本电脑代替，里面播放着莎翁名剧《哈姆雷特》，王子一遍遍诉说：“活着，还是死去？”

城堡里专门有一间房子，陈设了丹麦的著名玩具乐高，孩子们可以在这里玩耍。丹麦虽然是个很小的国家，但是，它不仅有古老的童话，也有称霸现代世界的儿童玩具。悠久的历史与童心共存。

在城堡里拼装乐高玩具（产自丹麦的世界著名玩具）的小家伙。

站在这里俯瞰城堡内院，仿佛置身于远古时代。

城门的门柱、门楣上都有精美的石雕，人物是主角。

在公共场所（包括公园、船上、商店、饭店里）是可以带宠物来玩的。

这里曾经拍摄过电影哈里.波特，孩子们发现了熟悉的场景，非常感兴趣。

城堡外的大炮，把守着出入海口。

城堡内宽敞的地下通道，一切建筑设施都使这里壁垒森严。

Other opening hours The museum shop opens half an hour before and closes half an hour after the castle.
The castle courtyard closes at 17.50 during the summer months and at sunset during the winter months (but not before 16.30).
The Danish Maritime Museum has the same opening hours as the castle.
The coastal batteries are open from sunrise (but not before 6.00) to sunset.
The other fortified areas are always open.
Free admission for Danish school classes accompanied by teachers (primary and secondary schools).
Pre-booking is not necessary.

Prince Hamlet BehindKronborg’s walls lies the story of the Danish Prince Hamlet. For manypeople this is just as real and just as closely associated with thecastle as the actual historical people who lived in Kronborg. However,Hamlet only exists in the literary world as a creation of WilliamShakespeare.
Since the 1600s innumerable theatricalproductions, at the castle and in many other places, have kept the mythalive. Today, Kronborg is therefore known all over the world asHamlet’s castle and Elsinore as Hamlet’s town.
