DEAR Members of the Sino-Danish Alumni-network,
30th October 2012
It is my pleasure to invite you to a lecture with one of Denmark’s best news photographers Mads Nissen at
the Royal Danish Embassy the 7th November from 14:00-16:00.
Mads Nissen has covered several big news stories around the world in 2011 including the Libyan uprising and the Utøya massacre. He has also worked several years in China, where he covered the Sichuan earthquake in 2008.
During the afternoon, Mads Nissen will give a presentation where he will show some of his photos and tell the story behind them.
The work of Mads Nissen focus on contemporary issues such as overpopulation, poverty, wars and humanity’s often destructive relationship with nature. He has received several awards ranging from World Press Photo and Picture of the Year. This year he was the recipient of five first prices, including Picture of the Year and Photographer of the Year, at the annual Danish Photo of the Year contest.
During the event, the embassy will serve a small buffet with drinks. There are limit seats at this event, therefore first come first serve. Please RSVP by 13:00 the 6th of November to Ms. Line Thaarup at lintha@um.dk.
Best Regards
